Empty frames sometimes appear in a film roll due to the film being unusable, the camera being used incorrectly, or even due to simply fixing the film in the camera under normal conditions. This can be considered a kind of starting point for capturing new stories. The series of artifacts “what is more important” is a collection of ≈1500 “tails” from 35 mm film and empty/expired films; each element of the collection has its own (non-unique) number – a twin-check, assigned to it in the photo lab. Each element is unique: by its length, inclusions, scratches and condition.
