In psychology Limen is a sensory threshold-the point at which a stimulus becomes strong enough to be perceived or elicit a psychological response. Anything below this threshold is considered subliminal, or not consciously detectable.
In architecture, a Limen is the physical or conceptual threshold between two distinct spaces. It represents a transitional zone or “in-between” space, such as a doorway, corridor, or entryway, where one moves from one environment or state to another. These liminal spaces are often designed to create a sense of transition, ambiguity, or heightened awareness as occupants pass through them
This project aims to capture that feeling of ambiguity and threshold
