Sharing with you all the model 003 of the IDAS inaugural capsule release.
Since you are reading on this platform I have to let you in on a little secret:
I never intended on making a low shoe for this label, especially considering I personally don’t own any pairs of low shoes either (with the exception of running shoes) nor do I ever enjoy wearing them. But during the process of drafting the patterns for the previous two models, I happened to create this one by accident and it turned out to be my favourite (shocking I know) model of the collection.
When you examine the shoe closely, you will not be able to find any visible stitches anywhere, not even a lock stitch.
The accidental creation of this completely seamless shoe has made me appreciate the creation process and footwear pattern making even more – it really caught me and the team by surprise how much we liked it. I think the cherry on top was the magnetic closure and the red lining for the shell.
We are now pushing the model even further, by also developing the pattern for a one-piece construction for this shoe, which will be made available for private clients.
