Time, archives, history, geography… In the spirit of @archivioribot , we find deep resonance with the founding ethos of AMBELIE GALLERY. We believe that beauty is what lingers after time has gently erased the ephemeral. Through journeys across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America, we gather echoes of beauty—artifacts that transcend eras, borders, and cultures—curating them into a space akin to a living archive.
Archivio‘s garments are marked by the flow of time. Every detail, from the aged buttons to the antique textiles and sewing threads, is the result of years of fine research. They were handmade in Italy solely using slow sewing techniques and not involving any overlock sewing machine. The buttonholes and most of the garments were completely made by hand according to the oldest traditions. Each piece is unique and any imperfection is its most precious feature and a gift of time.
