Under the theme of “The Beauty of Indeterminacy,”
an entire world crafted by human hands unfolds,
colored by metal and leather.
iolom designer Mr. Sakamoto positions jewelry as
“the design of space at its smallest unit,”
creating adornments that influence the space around them simply by existing.
He has continued this pursuit for nearly 20 years.
His unique techniques and architectural forms
are imbued with the unpredictable “distortions” born of handcrafting,
emitting a delicate yet undeniable presence
a collection indispensable to mienisi.
This year as well, nearly 200 pieces will gather in Jiyugaoka,
including the “new collection” with its diverse expressions,
mienisi-exclusive “leather goods,”
and a large selection of “archive pieces.”
