Circo de Sastre “Shitateya no Circus” Fukuoka Performance
A Fantastical Stage of Sound, Fabric, and Light
Circo de Sastre, a unique theatrical performance blending music, fabric, and light, will present its Fukuoka show, “Quietly Collapsing” in collaboration with krank, on March 8 (Sat) and March 9 (Sun) at Artist Cafe Fukuoka.
This special performance will feature the distinctive artistic world of krank, known for its vintage furniture, sculptures, and light-shadow installations, along with musician and percussionist Tomoe Ando. Together, they will create a dreamlike journey, as if stepping into a cinematic landscape.
In addition to the performance, a market will be held at the venue, offering delicious food, wine, coffee, sweets, books, and records.
Children under 18 can attend for free, and the event is limited to 200 attendees per show.

About the Artists
krank
A Fukuoka-based shop specializing in European antique furniture, krank, along with the apparel and select shop marcello, is run by brothers Kenichiro and Teruhiko Fujii. Their activities extend beyond Fukuoka, including solo exhibitions in Tokyo, live stage designs, gallery events, and product design across Japan.
Tomoe Ando
A percussionist and musician who studied classical percussion at Tokyo University of the Arts. She won first place in the 37th Japan Wind and Percussion Competition and has performed as a soloist at the Akutagawa Composition Award selection concert. Her performances span orchestras, contemporary music, solo percussion, and improvisation.
Circo de Sastre
A theatrical performance group led by musician Daiho Soga, consisting of various artists and creators. They have performed in renowned venues such as the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa and KAAT Kanagawa Arts Theatre in Japan, as well as internationally in Spain, France, and Indonesia.
