I’m the co-founder of Avlas Vintage and the author of seminars about vintage furniture. My passion for vintage began over 10 years ago when I became fascinated with the history of furniture and the intricate craftsmanship behind each piece. From the very beginning, I dreamed of one day gathering the most unique items into a collection. This dream was challenging to achieve, and the first collection was gathered with the support of my family.
Avlas Vintage started organically as my personal collection grew beyond what I could accommodate. Realizing the joy and uniqueness that these timeless items could bring to others, I decided to create Avlas Vintage to help people find and incorporate exquisite vintage pieces into their interiors, making their spaces truly unique. Avlas Vintage was initiated as a family project, which is reflected in our name, derived from our surname, Avlas. This authentic vintage furniture dealership has always been a labor of love and family collaboration.

What sparked your interest in vintage furniture?
My interest in vintage furniture was sparked by a combination of my passion for design and a deep appreciation for history. I have always been fascinated by the unique stories and craftsmanship behind each piece of vintage furniture. Over time, I started to notice how vintage furniture often has a level of quality and character that is hard to find in modern, mass-produced items.
This realization led me to delve deeper into the world of vintage furniture. I began collecting pieces for my own home, appreciating how each item added a distinct personality and charm to my space. This passion eventually inspired me to start Avlas Vintage studio, where I could share these beautiful, timeless pieces with others and promote a more unique approach to furnishing homes.

Our sourcing strategy revolves around several key channels that allow us to consistently discover unique and high-quality vintage furniture. We actively participate in auctions, where we have access to sought-after pieces and designs from renowned creators. Flea markets and antique fairs are also essential.
Moreover, we maintain strong connections with private sellers and collectors who curate specialized collections and often unearth rare treasures.
